Better Late Than Never

For the last month I have been operating under two (logical) assumption:
  1. The refrigerator is meant for preventing things from spoiling.
  2. Food spoils in the hot and humid climate in Thailand faster than back home.
Thus, every single food item I'd buy would go straight into the fridge. Lately, I've been surprised at how quickly my fruit goes bad, until JR explained that tropical fruit is just that and does not like cold temperatures. So maybe Thai chickens are tropical chickens that lay tropical eggs, since the eggs in the grocery store are never in a refrigerator.

I would have made the same assumption...I guess Thailand is a "now or never" type of place.
